New features

DITA Open Toolkit 3 support

Support has been added for the Ant-based DITA Open Toolkit versions 2 and 3. Both standard and custom DITA Open Toolkit implementations are supported along with any DITA Open Toolkit compatible plugins. The new Ant-based integration is complementary to the existing XProc-based integration and allows clients to use their existing DITA Open Toolkit plugins without any modification.

AuthorBridge integration

Componize now provides integration with the AuthorBridge web-based XML editor. Both DITA Maps and Topics can be opened and edited directly from the document library or search results lists.

View outbound links directly from search results

The Uses action (to view outbound links) is now available directly on files in the search results list.

Technical changes

  • A new API allows you to tag selected resources (for example, a ditamap and its dependencies) on a branch.
  • The XProc copy step now supports the toFile attribute which allows a file to be renamed when copied.
  • Compare and merge operations in the version control service have been optimized.
  • XML Schema errors are now reported during parsing.
  • A new patch removes the temporary nodes created by the ModelBootstrap patch and fixes the Alfresco Share trashcan issue.

Bug fixes

  • Quotes are now processed correctly in DITA titles in the HTML5 output.
  • DefaultNodePathResolver.getFolderNode() is now case sensitive.
  • Temporary nodes created by ModelBootstrap patch are now deleted.
  • Opaque URIs in rendition URIs are now encoded correctly.
  • The thumbnail modification data is now updated correctly when cleaning up renditions.

Known issues

  • Bug #1350: The DITA Open Toolkit htmlsearch plugin creates a file xx.html in TOMCAT_HOME. The workaround is to make sure the tomcat user has write access to the xx.html file.
